Lia Caldas

With more than 30 years of experience in graphic design, Lia is a visual artist now working mainly as a freelance illustrator.

Lia is a multidisciplinary artist working with many medias – both traditional and digital – inspired by nature and passionate about mixed media experiments.

She has a degree in Graphic Design from ESDI/UERJ with an extension in Applied Computer Graphics by PUC-Rio among other studies. Enthusiastic about Yoga, Lia has studied in Mysore, India, directly under the paramaguru of Ashtanga Yoga, Sharath Jois.

Lia is also an experienced team leader having worked as the art director for Editora Gracie for more than 8 years, subsequently moving on to founding her own design company, Subito Creative, that operated in Rio de Janeiro city for more than 6 years.

Now living in a small mountain cabin in the Atlantic forest, Lia is daily inspired by the rain forest biodiversity.
